Meet the Owner
Ron developed a love for photography while still in high school as a photographer on the yearbook staff. His love for photography continued to grow as he began his collegiate career at Texas A&M University becoming a Battalion newspaper and yearbook staff photographer. Currently Ron has over 30 years of experience in event photography covering a variety of events, from local junior rodeos to national level youth sports championships to equestrian related events and even weddings. (See Previous Customers link above for details) His skills have been recognized both nationally and regionally by the more than 200 organizations across the U.S.A. who have used his professional services to capture their moments of athletic excellence.
The seeds of Ronald Havard Photography were planted more than 40 years ago, when he noticed the unmet demand for professional photographers willing to travel to events like rodeos, baseball tournaments, rugby matches, and 4-H playdays. So many of the participants and onlookers wanted to capture the action and excitement of the day professionally, but there was no one to meet their needs. So Ron decided to take a chance by combining his love for photography with his love for the world of athletic action, he set up a booth at the next rodeo and the response was overwhelming. His first customers were thrilled at the clarity and quality of his work. From that day, Ronald Havard Photography began to grow. Ron is constantly improving his company by always using the highest quality equipment, and for him every day is an opportunity to increase customer satisfaction.
Ron also believes in giving back to the community by either donating proceeds back into a Little League organized fundraiser or providing photos back to the organizations he covers for their promotional needs. That’s because he knows how important it is to keep good values at the center of the company.
